They appreciate the majority view because with such mass exploitation they serve their personal and professional interests and careers. If we know human weaknesses correctly then we must understand this. That is, if the ambitious achieve a favorable picture of themselves in the majority and if they persuade the majority of their views, then their own personal goals are achieved. On the contrary, if they are unhappy with the majority, then they will probably damage their personal interest and career, they will lose opportunities, partnerships, customers and followers. This means that they appreciate the view of the human majority in a personal interest and therefore they are determined to win the positive view of the majority in every possible way. Even with lies, hypocrisy and advertising, as they would to survive, if they had this permanent difficulty. They do not care to persuade the majority of people with their complete sincerity, with knowledge, logic and impartiality, and as if they were scientists seeking credibility. They are interested in convincing the majority in every fraudulent way that will thank the majority and achieve its positive view. The invocation of the majority rinses their authoritative ambition and their self-interest, conceals their own personal responsibility and escapes them from the difficult task of convincing the truth or lie. The truth is the last issue of these ambitious. This is the truth and has a persuasive explanation because self-interest (self-interest has a meaning related to selfishness and personalism) is a normal characteristic of life with the biological feasibility of survival and this feasibility within human society is served with all intelligent thoughts , with all available means, even with human partnerships. Thus, the self-interest behind the attempt to connect with the positive assessment of a majority has even eroded the concept of democracy especially in European countries and North America. If those who have linked their careers and their profits to the positive assessment of a majority admit this unpleasant truth to themselves, then they will have done morally. But it would also be a major change for society if the population was more skeptical and if it resisted its own self-interest and if it did not express its admiration and good appreciation with the expectation, that it would gain valuable acquaintances and advantages.
